Some Requirements Of SHDC After Their Error In West Drove South

• South Holland District Council should issue an apology to ALL residents of West Drove South and those affected in Lincoln Avenue/Long Lane for ‘getting this development wrong’.

• SHDC & the housing association responsible must agree to restrict for 7 years from the first let on the development the total number of under 21’s to no more than the total number of under 21’s existing as resident in West Drove South. Lets and re-lets are to take into account the number of under 21s for purposes of this restriction at the time of letting. Therefore monitoring of children being born will need to be made.

• A footpath affording safe passage to be built and maintained in good order along the side of the road of the new development to a point in Lincoln Avenue/Long Lane to provide access to other footpaths in safety.

• West Drove South road surface to be re-laid along length where residential properties exist.

• West Drove South to have a good standard of street lighting put in place along length where residential properties exist.

• West Drove South road should have signage and restrictions between new development inclusive and junction with Lincoln Avenue/Long Lane(along length of new footpath) in order to:
A) speed limit to be 20mph
B) priority traffic flow indication
C) agricultural traffic to be banned from entry to the road from its northern end

• The properties on the development to be finished in a manner as to be radically different in design & style to blend in with that pre-existing ethos of the road.

• A legally enforceable 30 year moratorium on any further residential new build in West Drove South or roadway providing access from West Drove South for such development away from existing roadside.
